About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Response in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with attention to security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity while helping to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disruptions to normal site operations.
• Support daily property operations by reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related incidents, and by following Allied Universal post orders and client-directed procedures.
