Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting issues through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office buildings, lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with badge or sign-in procedures when required, and help to support authorized entry throughout the location.
• Communicate with property management, tenants, and/or emergency personnel regarding security-related concerns, alarms, suspicious activity, and other noteworthy events.
