Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, maintenance concerns, or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify access permissions when required, and document observations, incidents, and/or visitor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors with directions, de-escalation, and general assistance while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns and reporting issues promptly.
