As a Security Officer Patrol Response Guard in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted locations, document daily activity and incident details, and communicate observed issues according to post orders and site protocols.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and direction-giving during routine operations, service disruptions, and special events while maintaining a professional presence.
