About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Responder in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, or policy concerns through the proper channels.
• Support daily operations by following post orders, observing workplace activity, and assisting with security-related requests while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic business environment.
