As a Security Officer Patrol Responder in Suffern, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, visitor-related issues, and/or calls for support from hospital personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may need attention.
  • Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and/or report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and/or communicate relevant updates to supervisors, staff, and emergency responders as needed.
