About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Talladega, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related observations and actions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, housing areas, corridors, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor movement through assigned areas, verify credentials and/or permissions as directed, and report suspicious, unusual, and/or unauthorized behavior to appropriate personnel.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with staff and visitors, following post orders, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
