Requirements

• Must be willing to comply with hospital vaccination requirements.
• This position is located in a hospital setting and may include work in or around the morgue.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as part of the role.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working conditions that may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, offering directions and support to visitors and staff while maintaining awareness of site activity.
• Assist with de-escalation of tense situations and help to support order during high-traffic periods, visitor interactions, and/or emergency-related events.
