About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Melbourne, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hangars, office areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured entry points, and/or other concerns.
Monitor access to restricted and controlled areas by verifying badges, visitor credentials, and/or delivery activity in accordance with location protocols.
Support security-related operations at an aerospace and defense location by reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations that could impact daily operations.
