About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Navigator in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A current guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government education location.
• Respond to incidents, student and visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with sign-in procedures, directional support, and screening of deliveries and/or contractors in accordance with site protocols.
• Support school-related operations during arrival, dismissal, after-hours events, and/or other scheduled activities by maintaining a visible presence and communicating with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
