About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In a fast-moving environment, you will support daily operations with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and an innovative approach that puts people first.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, warehouse spaces, and perimeter points as assigned.
Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
Support daily operations by observing site activity, documenting unusual conditions, and communicating security-related information to supervisors and/or designated contacts.
