About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, students, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or public agency partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location protocols, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support daily operations at a government education location by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance, and maintaining awareness of surroundings during assigned patrols.
