Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance and exit areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify concerns.
• Monitor for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential loss issues, then report observations and support appropriate follow-up in line with post orders.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and/or directional support during busy periods, special events, opening and closing procedures, and other daily operations.
