About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Inspection in Rockport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city issued security license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, providing information, and reporting suspicious activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with campus representatives, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
