Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that may include exposure to the morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, hallways, and other assigned areas to help manage authorized access, support visitor directions, and report maintenance or operational issues.
  • Support a professional environment by following Allied Universal post orders, observing facility rules, and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
