As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using an alarm panel is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, screening processes, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts and/or policy concerns.
• Support a professional environment by observing patient and visitor interactions, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders for assigned areas and/or shifts.
