About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in Michigan City, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Our Security Officers help monitor and patrol a chemical and petrochemical location, staying visible to help discourage incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, with officers conducting routine rounds, responding to security-related concerns, and supporting daily operations with teamwork, integrity, and a people-first mindset. Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all individuals at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an industrial environment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and/or documenting activity according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, operational areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and/or potential hazards at the location.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and/or exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Complete routine reports and communicate observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
