Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government utility location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to ride a bike is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and report maintenance, access control, and/or security-related issues.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for staff, visitors, and/or vendors while following post orders and established protocols for a public-facing government environment.
  • Support daily operations by completing required reports, maintaining awareness of site activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access, property damage, and/or disruptions to the location.
