As a Security Officer Access Control / Driver in Shippingport, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by managing site access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor or contractor credentials, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel and vehicles to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor access points, gates, cameras, and alarm systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, equipment issues, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
