As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Decatur, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and support a caring culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility buildings, access points, parking areas, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns to site management or appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
  • Maintain detailed activity reports and incident documentation, including patrol findings, access-related observations, and conditions that may require follow-up.
