As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Full Time in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will support a caring, people-first culture through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and reliable service while using innovative approaches to address evolving site needs.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly work environment by reporting hazards, damaged property, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
