As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring qualified vehicle operation as part of your responsibilities. You will support daily operations with strong communication, customer service, teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site protocols and operational requirements.
  • Support day-to-day location operations by communicating with staff, assisting with directions and visitor processing, and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues as they arise.
