About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Role in Spanaway, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Our unarmed officers at a leading tech and media location conduct routine patrols and driving rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will respond to site needs and embody Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach while putting people first through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry permissions for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries while following post orders and visitor management protocols.
  • Support day-to-day operations by reporting maintenance concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations, and by assisting with directions, escorts, and other customer-facing needs.
