About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Response in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, assisting with visitor direction, access control, and other security-related procedures based on the needs of the location.
  • Support hospital operations by reporting hazards, policy concerns, and/or maintenance issues observed during rounds while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
