Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and support personnel and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, outages, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, gates, parking areas, and other restricted locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and document security-related incidents, unusual conditions, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Support facility operations during changing weather, after-hours activity, and/or service interruptions by following post orders and reporting conditions that could affect personnel, property, and ongoing operations.
