About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Incident Response in Paramus, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail and mall location. This is a driving post where you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will provide customer service, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while representing Allied Universal’s values.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, and escalate concerns according to site procedures.
Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Assist with access control, directions, and guest inquiries while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
