As an Unarmed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control activities, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility-related locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly report concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor visitor, contractor, and vehicle access in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and maintain accurate activity logs.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, infrastructure concerns, and potential hazards while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
