About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Driver CPR Certified in Jersey City, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. The role provides customer service, requires professional communication, and contributes to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven team culture. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, paying $18.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed vehicle and foot patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in required reports.
- Maintain a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
