As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering helpful customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle as part of your patrol duties in line with Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, authorized visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures for access control, badging expectations, and visitor management at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and emergency response activities as outlined by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor cameras, intrusion alarms, and other site systems as assigned, documenting unusual activity and coordinating with site contacts and/or responding personnel.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift turnover communications, escalating issues through the chain of command per policy.
