About The Position

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering helpful customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle as part of your patrol duties in line with Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, authorized visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures for access control, badging expectations, and visitor management at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and emergency response activities as outlined by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor cameras, intrusion alarms, and other site systems as assigned, documenting unusual activity and coordinating with site contacts and/or responding personnel.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift turnover communications, escalating issues through the chain of command per policy.
