As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, support employees and drivers with professional customer service, and report activity in a timely manner. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license, and a team-first mindset guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, truck yards, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to identify and report unusual activity and/or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and traffic flow by checking identification and/or credentials, directing visitors and drivers to designated areas, and maintaining required logs and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Perform routine security-related checks of doors, gates, dock areas, and equipment, and promptly document and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious conditions.
