This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, and may include vehicle patrol between buildings and parking areas. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office, lab, and/or data and network areas, as well as building exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, assist with visitor check-in and badge verification, and report unauthorized access attempts and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial direction to occupants and communicating updates to site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, document unusual activity, and follow post orders for escalation, notifications, and preservation of information related to security-related events.
