As a Security Officer Patrol Documentation in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across the campus environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with school personnel and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hallways, parking areas, playgrounds, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns.
  • Monitor access points and campus activity during arrival, dismissal, and other high-traffic periods, assisting with visitor screening, directional support, and reporting unusual behavior or conditions.
  • Support a positive learning environment by helping to enforce site rules, reporting maintenance and/or security-related issues, and providing visible presence throughout the location.
