As a Security Officer Patrol Detail in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first and values innovative service.

Requirements

• Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 or more years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the lobby, offices, parking areas, ATM and teller line areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity, unsecured access points, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and help to support established access control practices for the location.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, provide clear directions and assistance to the public, and support day-to-day security-related operations in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
