About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Customer Care in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or travelers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or emergency response partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces to help support authorized access, observe activity, and report maintenance, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist with directing people, providing information, and supporting orderly operations during routine activity, high-traffic periods, and/or weather-related or emergency-related events.
