Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor customer and visitor activity, assist with access and crowd flow at the location, and communicate professionally with tenants, employees, and/or the public regarding security-related matters.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing for suspicious behavior, reporting policy violations, and following post orders related to retail operations and after-hours closing procedures.
