About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Checkpoint Screening in Union City, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role combines customer service, communication, and support for site operations in a fast-moving environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including warehouse areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or operational disruptions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify approved access for personnel and visitors, and report delivery, trailer, and/or vehicle-related irregularities in accordance with post instructions.
  • Support loss prevention and inventory protection efforts by observing for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or damaged access points, then communicating findings through required reports and logs.
