About The Position

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required by site policies, and report access concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Support site operations by completing assigned reports, maintaining a visible presence, and following Allied Universal protocols for unarmed patrol posts.
