As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare-related location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access-control irregularities or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
