As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while using computer or tablet tools to document activity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor security-related systems, cameras, and communications equipment as assigned; promptly report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
