As a Security Officer Patrol Badge Control in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific policies, monitoring activity at entrances, sales floor areas, and other assigned locations, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, including parking areas, receiving areas, and other common spaces, while helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor for unusual behavior, potential theft, trespassing, and other security-related concerns, and report conditions that could impact daily operations, customers, and/or staff.
  • Assist with access control, closing procedures, and customer-facing interactions, helping to maintain an orderly environment and supporting a professional presence throughout the location.
