As a Security Officer Patrol Badge Administration in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interior areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and adherence to site access procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
