About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol and Badging in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier hotel location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents while assisting guests and staff. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with hotel management and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, hallways, guest floor corridors, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, public areas, and amenity spaces to help support authorized access, report policy violations, and provide assistance with security-related concerns.
  • Complete routine reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and share relevant information with Allied Universal supervisors and/or location leadership.
