Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points, check credentials, process visitor and driver entries, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, loading areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Support traffic flow at gates and docks by directing visitors, vendors, and/or transport personnel, maintaining accurate logs, and communicating access-related updates as needed.
