Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post instructions and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with access-related procedures, and/or communicate with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
