About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol and Access Control in Sanford, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine rounds, and staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report concerns, and deliver customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors while following post orders, site-specific policies, and Allied Universal procedures at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification and/or credentials as directed, documenting entries, exits, and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Complete timely written reports and daily activity logs, document unusual activity, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations through approved channels.
