As a Security Officer Patrol and Access Control in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • One or more of the following is required: 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, assisting with visitor direction, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Support a professional atmosphere by communicating clearly with residents, guests, and staff, while following post orders and helping with routine security-related inquiries.
