Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, potential theft, and/or other security-related concerns in accordance with location procedures.
• Support a professional retail environment by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions and information, and helping to address security-related issues across the location.
