As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow with clear communication and a customer service mindset. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, offices, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, lost and found situations, and/or after-hours concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring doors, credential checks where assigned, and visitor flow, and by reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Complete patrol and incident documentation, communicate activity via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with local responders as directed by post orders.
