Security Officer - Ambassador Outdoor Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Ambassador Outdoor Patrol in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and professionalism. You will document observations, support on-site teams and visitors with customer-focused service, and take pride in working with a company that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and teamwork.
Requirements
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing directions, assisting with de-escalation, and coordinating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorization when required, and document and/or report unusual activity according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports with clear, accurate details, and communicate relevant updates during shift briefings and post transitions.
