Requirements

• Have 1+ year of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with direction and escort requests when appropriate, and report maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional atmosphere by following Allied Universal standards, maintaining awareness of location activity, and completing required reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
